Director of IT & Infrastructure

Description

At GiG, we power the future of the iGaming industry as a leading B2B tech provider. We are looking for a hands-on Director of IT and Infrastructure to lead our technological infrastructure team, ensure 24/7 operational excellence, and steer our incredibly talented team of 15 specialists into the next chapter of growth. As the Director of IT and Infrastructure, you will bridge the gap between high-level technology strategy and flawless execution. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will own the corporate IT landscape and the core infrastructure hosting our B2B iGaming products. You will balance fiscal responsibility with cutting-edge tech adoption, making sure our internal systems are productive and our client-facing environments are scalable, secure, and incredibly resilient.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an IT and infrastructure strategy that perfectly aligns with GiG’s broader business objectives and ambitious growth plans.
  • Mentor and manage a high-performing team of 15 IT and Infrastructure specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and excellence.
  • Keep the CTO updated on corporate IT health, infrastructure project milestones, and risk management.
  • Manage and optimize the departmental budget across hardware, software, software licensing, and cloud services to ensure maximum ROI.
  • Oversee all internal corporate IT functions, including end-user support, network administration, application management, and security policies.
  • Ensure the entire corporate IT environment meets strict compliance standards and industry-leading security practices.
  • Continuously evaluate and roll out new tools and technologies that supercharge employee collaboration and productivity.
  • Plan and maintain the core infrastructure hosting GiG’s premier B2B iGaming products, prioritizing scalability, high availability, and bulletproof disaster recovery.
  • Cultivate and manage strong partnerships with critical third-party vendors, managed services, hardware suppliers, and cloud providers.
  • Drive operational processes-including incident response, change management, and configuration management-to guarantee 24/7/365 availability.
  • Be a champion for automation, comprehensive monitoring, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices.
Requirements
  • Proven Leadership: Extensive experience managing and mentoring mid-sized technical teams (15+ specialists) in a fast-moving environment (required).
  • iGaming or High-Availability Experience: A strong background managing high-traffic, B2B SaaS platforms where downtime is not an option (required).
  • Tech Savvy: Deep familiarity with modern cloud ecosystems, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles (required).
  • Financial Acumen: Comfortable managing a substantial departmental budget and driving vendor negotiations (required).
  • Operational Resilience: Exceptional incident management skills with a proven track record of maintaining 24/7/365 operations (required).
