Editorial Manager & Media Project Lead - Economics / Finance
You will lead the transformation of the leading finance media outlet on YouTube in France. This position offers you the opportunity to reinvent an already established media outlet, with a free hand to define a new editorial and growth strategy. The French-language finance media outlet, a leader on YouTube with a significant audience, is looking to evolve its model in the face of the rise of AI, by focusing on editorial rigour, strategic vision, and adaptability. You will also participate in an internationalisation project to launch an English-language version of the media outlet.
The role involves a high degree of autonomy, with the support of an expert, to define the editorial strategy, manage content and production, develop the multi-platform ecosystem, and evolve the media outlet's model. A bonus opportunity is to become the face of the media outlet if you possess the necessary charisma and credibility to embody the content on camera.
- Define the editorial strategy and vision for the media outlet.
- Take charge of the editorial direction of the media outlet: topics, angles, tone, positioning.
- Hunt for high-potential topics through your daily monitoring of economic and financial news.
- Test, iterate, and find formats that work.
- Analyse performance and steer the strategy in real-time.
- Work in tandem with an expert YouTube strategist.
- Write and supervise scripts that transform economic/financial news into captivating content.
- Manage a female editor and coordinate production with the editing team.
- Collaborate with the partnerships manager to integrate collaborations.
- Ensure editorial excellence: solid sourcing, rigorous fact-checking, zero approximations.
- Leverage AI to accelerate your workflows.
- Strengthen presence on X (Twitter), responsiveness, analysis threads, engagement.
- Evolve newsletter content, exclusives, loyalty, monetisation.
- Design and deploy a new strategy for Instagram and Facebook (Reels, carousels, stories…)
- Adapt content for each platform.
- Rethink the current format to create a more authentic media outlet and build trust.
- Propose and implement new directions: formats, tone, positioning, audience interaction.
- Identify what needs to change, what needs to stay, and have the courage to pivot what is no longer working.
- Present videos on camera with clarity and credibility.
- Embody the media outlet's expertise: your audience must trust you when you speak about investment, markets, or geopolitics.
- Develop your personal brand in symbiosis with that of the media outlet.
- Interact with the community: respond, build connections, foster loyalty.
- Launch and host a podcast: expert interviews, in-depth analyses, debates on economic news.
- Organise live sessions and Q&A sessions with the community.
- Invite and interview personalities from the world of finance, economics, and geopolitics.
- Experiment with new formats: live news debriefs, round tables, short formats, thematic series.
- Propose what does not yet exist.
- Native French speaker.
- Demonstrated expertise in finance, economics, and geopolitics (degree, professional background, publications, or content created on these subjects).
- Ability to write and manage a project (organise, decide, prioritise, deliver).
- Charisma on camera, a commanding voice, ability to captivate (if you fit this profile, send a video).
- Audiovisual or YouTube experience.
- AI-first approach: daily use of AI and a clear vision of its impact on media.
- Experience in launching or growing a media outlet.
- Ability to scale a project or pivot a format.
- Proficiency in social media: Instagram, X, Facebook, Telegram.
- Spoken English (an asset for the internationalisation project).
- Experience in team or editorial project management.
