Backend .NET Team Lead
Growe is seeking a Backend .NET Team Lead to join their engineering team. The role focuses on system design, performance optimisation, and technical leadership within a fast-evolving industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding a team of backend developers, managing technical debt, and overseeing the architecture of new features. This position requires a balance of hands-on development, code reviews, and mentorship to foster a culture of technical excellence and high ownership.
- Analyze and tune system designs to identify and fix performance bottlenecks.
- Analyze tasks, decompose them into sub-tasks, and estimate the development time.
- Perform code and design reviews.
- Lead research and POCs of new features.
- Help with new architecture prototyping and migration.
- Identify areas for improvement and manage tech debt.
- Mentor and guide an engineering team of BE developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous delivery, and high ownership.
- Support the current functionality and maintain backward compatibility for the releases.
- Deliver completed tasks for testing and provide advisory assistance to QAs during testing.
- 5+ years of .NET web development experience (required)
- 2+ years in a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Architect position (required)
- Expertise and deep understanding of .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, and C# technologies (required)
- Strong experience with relational/non-relational databases (required)
- Experience with a breadth of backend architecture principles and technologies (required)
- Experience with asynchronous communication and event-driven architectures (required)
- Experience with SSE, Long Polling, WebSockets (required)
- Experience with Unit and Integration tests (required)
- Experience with microservices architecture (required)
- Experience with GitLab CI or other CI/CD technologies (required)
- Experience troubleshooting production issues via an observability stack (Grafana, Tempo, Loki, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry) (required)
- Good understanding of software design principles (SOLID, separation of concerns, testability) (required)
- Good written and spoken English (required)
