As the Head of Europe Regulatory & Compliance, the individual will own the European regulatory and compliance strategy for Hacksaw Markets. This involves mapping the requirements relevant to the business model, setting the market-entry sequence, and translating regulation into product controls, operating standards, and commercially workable partnerships.
The role includes developing the European regulatory strategy, licensing-readiness plan, and compliance roadmap. It also involves assessing gaming, betting, financial-market, AML, sanctions, consumer-protection, and data requirements relevant to each launch. A repeatable framework for jurisdiction assessment, product approval, and regulatory change management will be created. The position requires leading engagement with regulators, external counsel, operators, suppliers, and strategic partners. Market structures, product features, data flows, and commercial models will be reviewed before launch. The role also entails building the European compliance organisation and establishing clear governance, monitoring, escalation, and reporting.
- Develop the European regulatory strategy, licensing-readiness plan and compliance roadmap.

- 10+ years in European regulatory, compliance or legal leadership within betting, gaming, exchanges, fintech or market infrastructure (required).
- Experience securing or supporting licences and operating across more than one regulatory regime (required).
- Strong working knowledge of AML/KYC, sanctions, consumer protection and product-governance controls (required).
- A practical approach to balancing regulatory credibility, product design and commercial execution (required).
- Excellent stakeholder management, judgment and written communication (required).
