Description

At IGT, the Game Designer plays a key role in defining how each game evolves to meet specific market and product requirements. This involves evaluating existing game content and shaping adjustments to game features, presentation, and player experience.

The role requires working closely with mathematicians, producers, artists, testers, and software engineers to maintain a consistent design vision throughout development. The goal is to help deliver cohesive, high-quality games.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate each assigned title and define adjustments to its features, content, presentation, and overall player experience, working closely with Game Mathematicians to align the mathematical direction with product and market requirements.
  • Work closely with the studio team throughout development to ensure that design decisions are implemented consistently and to a high-quality standard.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation covering game mechanics, features, content, presentation, and implementation requirements.
  • Act as the creative gatekeeper during project reviews and development milestones, ensuring that all game elements remain aligned with the agreed design direction and quality standards.
  • Share casino game design best practices and provide guidance to key creative contributors, considering the expectations of different markets.
Requirements
  • Candidates must be fully eligible to work full-time under a local employment contract in Belgrade (required).
  • Strong understanding of casino game types, features, mechanics, and player experiences (required).
  • Familiarity with game mathematics and an understanding of how mathematical models influence game behavior and player experience (required).
  • Proficiency in visual design tools used to create storyboards, communicate design ideas, and illustrate proposed changes (required).
  • Creative and solution-oriented, with the ability to evaluate existing content and develop effective design solutions (required).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines (required).
  • Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high-quality standards (required).
  • Experience in the slot gaming industry (nice-to-have).
