Game Mathematician I
At IGT, the Lynx Studio in Belgrade designs and builds casino games played by millions of players worldwide. The studio is IGT’s dedicated localization studio for EMEA and LAC markets. The team adapts game mathematics, features, and themes to meet the needs and preferences of diverse markets, while preserving the core elements that made the original games successful.
The Game Mathematician will combine analytical precision with practical problem-solving to evaluate and refine the mathematical models behind the games. Their expertise will help ensure balanced gameplay, mathematical accuracy, and engaging player experience. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing mathematical analysis and guidance from initial assessment through implementation, testing, and final delivery.
- Analyze existing game mathematics and define the adjustments needed to meet product, market, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain clear and detailed mathematical documentation, including game logic, PAR sheets, and specifications for mathematical changes.
- Test and validate mathematical outcomes using MS Excel, simulations, programming, and proprietary tools to ensure accuracy and expected game behaviour.
- Collaborate with development and quality assurance teams to support implementation, investigate issues, and ensure mathematical accuracy throughout production.
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, or a related quantitative field (required).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and at least one programming language (such as Python, C#, C++, or Java) (required).
- Strong knowledge of probability theory, combinatorics, and statistics (required).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail (required).
- Experience in the slot gaming industry (nice-to-have).
- Candidates must be fully eligible to work full-time under a local employment contract in Belgrade (required).
