Description

Kambi is seeking a UK-Focused Sports Trader to join the Event Quality Monitoring team. This role is responsible for ensuring real-time accuracy and operational excellence during sporting events within a fast-paced environment. The position involves managing odds adjustments, monitoring events, and performing risk management to deliver a seamless betting experience while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role is based in Bucharest and requires an initial office-based period, with the potential for a hybrid working arrangement thereafter. The successful candidate will focus primarily on UK sports events, such as Darts, Rugby, Snooker, and Cricket, with occasional coverage extending to other disciplines such as Golf and American Football, to ensure operational accuracy and market efficiency. The role also involves handling issues with third-party providers, contributing to team performance by providing feedback and support, and documenting key observations from events to provide actionable insights for process improvements and future strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor the operations of UK sports events (such as Darts, Rugby, Snooker and Cricket) as your core focus, with occasional coverage extending to other disciplines such as Golf and American Football, to ensure operational accuracy and market efficiency.
  • Dynamically adjust odds in real-time based on market changes and event developments, while promptly escalating operational issues to relevant teams.
  • Maintain effective communication with peers, managers, and trading teams to optimize event performance and ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle issues with third-party providers, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of event data through effective monitoring.
  • Contribute to team performance by providing feedback and support to improve individual and collective outcomes.
  • Document key observations from events and provide actionable insights for process improvements and future strategies.
Requirements
  • A passion for sports and an understanding of live sports dynamics (required).
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken (required).
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment (required).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a team-oriented setting (required).
  • An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail (required).
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement (required).

  • 6–12 months of experience in a multinational or operations environment (nice-to-have).
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (required).

  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines (required).
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance (required).
