AI Enablement Engineer
The company is seeking a hands-on, technically fluent engineer to drive the adoption of AI across its entire development organisation. The role focuses on identifying friction within team workflows and transforming those challenges into automated, AI-powered solutions.
As an AI Enablement Engineer, the successful candidate will embed with engineering and product teams to identify repetitive, manual tasks and build solutions to address them. Working closely with AI Efficiency Architects and the AI Evangelist, the engineer will turn high-level AI strategy into concrete, measurable improvements. This position is designed for an individual who enjoys variety, moves quickly, and values seeing their work adopted across the organisation.
- Work directly with engineering and product teams to map workflows, identify repetitive or slow processes, and spot high-impact opportunities for AI-driven automation.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of solutions such as prompt workflows, lightweight agents, scripts, and integrations.
- Partner with AI Efficiency Architects to harden solutions for production environments.
- Create templates, playbooks, and repeatable patterns to ensure successful AI implementations can scale across multiple teams.
- Drive the adoption of AI tooling across teams and measure outcomes such as time saved, throughput, and delivery speed.
- Surface recurring needs and friction back to AI Efficiency Architects to help evolve internal AI gateways and tooling.
- Mentor senior engineers on AI best practices and influence engineering roadmaps.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript with a proven track record of delivering complex, distributed systems (required).
- Deep, hands-on experience moving AI from prototypes to real-world tools, including building reliable agents and RAG workflows (required).
- Understanding of the practical side of LLMs, such as managing costs, speed, and context limits (required).
- Strong bias for action with the ability to turn vague problems into working solutions quickly (required).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams (required).
- Working knowledge of the software delivery lifecycle, including GitLab/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines (required).
- Capacity to manage a varied portfolio of work and deliver with minimal supervision (required).
- Excellent presentation and training skills (nice-to-have).
- Previous experience running enablement, developer experience, or internal tooling initiatives (nice-to-have).
