Backend Engineer - Core Experience (UK/IR)
The Markets Platform Team at LeoVegas Group is looking for an experienced software engineer to play a crucial role in enhancing the global customer onboarding process and developing responsible gaming features. The work will ensure a seamless, secure, and enjoyable experience for customers across all brands.
In this position, the focus will be on building and maintaining the part of the platform responsible for market-specific compliance rules. The team's mission is to create a safe gaming environment where players can set healthy limits on their gambling habits. They leverage data-driven insights and a robust CI/CD process, following the Kanban methodology to deliver high-quality solutions. The role involves working alongside expert back-end developers specialising in Java and Kotlin, as well as dedicated Quality Assurance Engineers.
- Developing a multi-brand gaming platform called Rhino, built on 230+ microservices.
- Driving continuous improvement in the player onboarding process and responsible gaming solutions through innovative solutions.
- Writing extensive tests (units, e2e, integration) and updating documentation.
- Participating in architectural discussions and suggesting ideas for technical improvements.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and promote safe gaming practices.
- Working closely with Backend Engineers, QA Engineers and TA Engineers.
- Min. 3 years of experience in using Java + Spring Boot framework, or similar experience in Object Oriented Languages (C#, C++, Python, PHP) and willing to learn Java (required)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (required)
- Familiarity with microservice architectures (required)
- Experience with Kotlin, Git, Kafka, Jenkins (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery (nice-to-have)
- Strong understanding of API testing methodologies and hands-on experience with tools like Postman (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of Automated Testing (nice-to-have)
- Experience with telemetry and monitoring (nice-to-have)
