Backend Engineer - Core Experience
LeoVegas Group is looking for an experienced software engineer to join its Markets Platform Team. The role focuses on enhancing the global customer onboarding process and developing responsible gaming features to ensure a seamless, secure, and enjoyable experience for customers across all brands.
This position involves refining the onboarding journey and promoting responsible gaming within a data-driven environment that leverages a robust CI/CD process and follows the Kanban methodology. The engineer will work alongside expert back-end developers specialising in Java and Kotlin, as well as dedicated Quality Assurance Engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions on the Rhino gaming platform.
- Developing a multi-brand gaming platform called Rhino, built on 230+ microservices.
- Driving continuous improvement in the player onboarding process and responsible gaming solutions through innovative solutions.
- Testing (unit tests) and updating documentation.
- Participating in architectural discussions and suggesting ideas for technical improvements.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer onboarding and promote responsible gaming.
- Working closely with Backend, Frontend, Native Engineers and QA Engineers.
- Min. 3 years of experience in using Java + Spring Boot framework (required)
- Experience with MySQL (required)
- Familiarity with microservice architectures (required)
- Experience with Kafka and Git (required)
- Experience with Kotlin (nice-to-have)
- Experience with Jenkins, Pekko or Akka, Hazelcast, Elasticsearch (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery (nice-to-have)
- Strong understanding of API testing methodologies and hands-on experience with tools like Postman (nice-to-have)
- Experience with agentic engineering (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of Automated Testing (nice-to-have)
