Head of Enterprise IT
LeoVegas is looking for a visionary Enterprise IT Manager to lead the strategic evolution of the department. The role involves maintaining high standards of daily operations by managing enterprise IT systems, devices, and support services for engineering and business teams.
LeoVegas requires the successful candidate to pivot the organisation to focus on Engineering Enablement. This involves creating conditions for developers to build and ship software without friction, ensuring that IT infrastructure supports the needs of a modern tech environment.
- Lead, mentor, and evolve a distributed team of 35 IT professionals across eight countries and multiple time zones.
- Manage six direct reports, fostering a culture of autonomy, customer service, and technical curiosity.
- Travel occasionally to key hubs to build relationships and align operations.
- Partner with Engineering VPs and Leads to understand their pain points.
- Tilt the IT roadmap to prioritise developer efficiency, including high-performance compute hardware, optimised network low-latency routes, and efficient VPN solutions.
- Oversee the lifecycle management of hardware, software, and mobile devices for the entire 2,000-person workforce.
- Manage corporate networks and security protocols, balancing security requirements with the flexibility engineers need to work effectively.
- Ensure the Global Service Desk provides white glove support to everyone from the C-suite to the Junior Dev.
- Level up the IT supplier landscape, leveraging opportunities to consolidate and evolving IT supplier management.
- Previous success in a comparable Enterprise IT management position within a modern tech environment (required).
- Experience managing managers (required).
- Experience running a 30+ person organisation across multiple countries and time zones (required).
- Ability to build culture remotely (required).
- Proactive and strategic communication skills with Engineering VPs and business leaders (required).
- Strong background working within or alongside software development organisations (required).
- Understanding of the SDLC and how IT decisions impact compile times, build speeds, and developer happiness (required).
- Excellent ability to communicate with both technical Engineering VPs and non-technical business leaders (required).
- Experience negotiating contracts with global hardware/software vendors and managing the logistics of hardware distribution (required).
- Knowledge of enterprise networking, specifically tuned for a distributed workforce (required).
- Versatility in presenting budgets to the CFO and solving complex distribution logic problems (required).
- Engineering background as a SysAdmin, DevOps engineer, or Developer (nice-to-have).
- Preference for automating onboarding, offboarding, and provisioning processes (nice-to-have).
- Preference for code or scripts over manual tickets (nice-to-have).
