Risk Specialist

Description

As a Risk Specialist, you will be at the frontline of protecting the company’s profitability and integrity right from our trading floor. Working closely with our core teams, you will monitor live betting activity to mitigate instant threats, while simultaneously deep diving into historical data to profile customer behavior, detect fraud patterns, and optimize our risk management frameworks. This dynamic role perfectly bridges the adrenaline of real time live monitoring with the strategic depth of retrospective data analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring incoming live bets and analyse live betting patterns to identify high risk behavior, fraud indicators, and unprofitable betting patterns in real time.
  • Conducting retrospective analysis of betting activity and customer behavior to identify long term risk and fraud patterns, developing and maintaining customer profiling and risk rating models.
  • Identifying, investigating, documenting, and reporting inconsistencies, errors, or weaknesses in odds, pricing, offers, or internal risk management tools.
  • Monitoring and optimizing live risk management processes, suggesting improvements and supporting the development of new tools, controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating closely with the Trading, Betting Intelligence, and Bookmaking Strategy teams to ensure aligned, data driven risk decisions and provide structured case feedback.
  • Producing clear reports, presentations, and case documentation regarding risk related findings, projects, and outcomes to support the team and broader business initiatives.
Requirements
  • Solid understanding of sports (required)
  • Strong understanding of betting markets, odds movements, and bookmaking principles (required)
  • Strong ability to make data driven decisions and apply innovative, solution oriented thinking in a fast paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail (required)
  • Ability to adapt to different team dynamics and collaborate effectively across functions (required)
  • Excellent listening and learning skills (required)
  • Comfortable in a desk based, high focus role (required)
  • Advanced analytical skills (required)
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English (required)
