Description

The Senior Manager - Portfolio Analytics is a commercial leadership role focused on driving performance insights within the UK analytics function. The position requires a blend of deep analytical expertise and strategic advisory skills to influence decision-making across marketing, product, operations, and finance.

This role involves leading consultancy-style problem solving to identify growth opportunities and operational efficiencies. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to embed a world-class portfolio analytics framework and deliver actionable insights that impact revenue, customer behaviour, and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Head of Group Performance & Insights, Senior Commercial Director and CCO to embed a world-class portfolio analytics framework to help drive fast, actionable portfolio and business decisions.
  • Serve as a commercial thought leader, shaping strategy, challenging conventions, and elevating commercial thinking across the Group.
  • Act as a strategic partner to functional leaders (Marketing, Product, CRM, Pricing, Risk, Operations, Finance) to identify growth opportunities and operational efficiencies.
  • Analyse end-to-end revenue drivers across acquisition, retention, monetisation, and customer lifetime value.
  • Lead consultancy-style problem solving, from scoping questions to prioritising projects, structuring analysis, and delivering clear recommendations.
  • Build and deliver actionable performance insights that directly influence revenue, customer behaviour, and profitability.
  • Support the Head of Group Performance & Insights and Group Performance Directors in embedding actionable, data-driven insights into regular performance conversations.
  • Partner with finance and commercial teams to enhance revenue forecasting, campaign ROI, and P&L modelling.
  • Collaborate with central teams to embed and maintain a world-class analytics framework covering transactional, market, competitor, and customer data.
  • Contribute to a data-driven culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and promoting analytical best practice.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a commercial analytics, revenue optimisation, or strategy role within online gambling, gaming, or a similarly fast-paced digital sector (required).
  • Consultancy craft - skilled in problem solving (at least five years in a commercial leadership role) (required).
  • Hypothesis-led thinking, project prioritisation, and stakeholder engagement (required).
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of how digital businesses generate revenue and profit (required).
  • Expertise across multiple analytics domains: performance, product, operations, customer, and commercial (required).
  • Proficiency in analytical tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) (required).
  • Proficiency in visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau) (required).
  • Familiarity with modern cloud data environments (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) (required).
  • Excellent communicator, able to present complex data in clear, concise, and compelling ways to senior stakeholders (required).
  • Highly collaborative, comfortable working across multiple teams and disciplines (required).
