Description

An experienced software QA Engineer is sought for a meaningful role in a dynamic environment. The role focuses on enhancing the global customer onboarding process and developing responsible gaming features to ensure a seamless, secure, and enjoyable experience for customers across all brands.

The position involves working closely with key stakeholders to define effective testing scopes aligned with business needs. The company's mission is to create a safe gaming environment where players can set healthy limits on their gambling habits. High-quality solutions are delivered by leveraging data-driven insights and a robust CI/CD process, following Agile methodology. Collaboration will occur alongside expert developers from backend, frontend, native apps, and regular reporting teams, along with dedicated Quality Assurance Engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Drives high-impact outcomes by leading complex, ambiguous projects and resolving critical issues that directly influence business quality and performance.
  • Elevates engineering quality across the company through mentoring, sponsorship, and delivering constructive technical feedback.
  • Shapes testing strategy and architecture by leading test design for complex problems, ensuring reliability, observability, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Communicates risks, insights, and technical considerations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, contributing meaningfully to roadmaps and planning.
  • Uplifts QA practices across squads by promoting best practices, anticipating issues through strong processes, and enabling others to improve testing for performance, scale, and security.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of the testing theory (testing types, testing approaches, test design techniques, test pyramid concept, etc.) (required).
  • Understanding of modern software development practices in Agile self-organising teams and DevOps environments (required).
  • Experience with Backend testing (microservice architecture with the tech stack of Java/Kotlin, MySQL, Kafka, REST API, BigQuery) (required).
  • Experience with full-stack testing (required).
  • Experience with native apps testing (required).
  • Practical experience of automated API testing methodologies (required).
  • Proficiency with test management tools such as TestRail, TestLink, xRay, Zephyr, or similar (nice-to-have).
  • Experience creating UI tests using Typescript and creating/working with mock data/mocking tools (nice-to-have).
  • Experience creating and analysing Performance tests (nice-to-have).
  • Experience creating automated tests with Java and/or Typescript (nice-to-have).
  • Experience in the iGambling industry (nice-to-have).
