Associate Front End Developer
Light & Wonder is looking for an Associate Client Engineer to join the game development team in the Sofia office. This role sits on the frontline of development, focusing on the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of gaming products.
The Associate Client Engineer is responsible for debugging, modifying, and providing ongoing support for in-game features and operational tools. The role requires a strong technical foundation and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth gameplay and timely updates.
- Work on client-side code for both desktop and mobile versions of games.
- Develop and support client/server-based applications using a variety of technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and more.
- Address and resolve production issues by coordinating with different teams and keeping stakeholders informed.
- Learn and implement new tools and improved processes to support the Development team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience (required)
- 1 year of software development experience (required)
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds (required)
- Knowledge of data structures (JavaScript or any other programming language) (required)
- Basic understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5 and CSS3 (required)
- Experience with development tools including IDEs, debuggers, bug tracking (required)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, CVS or SVN (required)
- Familiarity with using debugging tools such as the Chrome Developer Tools (required)
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with TypeScript (preferred)
- Distributed application (client/server) development experience (preferred)
- Game development experience (preferred)
- Experience in UI development and animations (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Linux command line tools and using the shell (preferred)
