Associate Front End Developer
The Associate Client Engineer plays a role on the frontline of the game development team, responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing games. In this role, the engineer will debug, modify, and provide ongoing support for in-game features and operational tools, ensuring timely updates and smooth gameplay.
The role requires strong technical skills and excellent communication and collaboration skills to be a valued team player. The Associate Client Engineer should have a solid foundation of skills, experience, and work ethic, with a willingness to learn from teammates while contributing to the creation of games that delight customers.
- Work on client-side code for both desktop and mobile versions of games.
- Develop and support client/server-based applications using a variety of technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and more.
- Address and resolve production issues by coordinating with different teams and keeping stakeholders informed.
- Learn and implement new tools and improved processes to support the Development team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience (required)
- 1 year of software development experience (required)
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds (required)
- Knowledge of data structures (JavaScript or any other programming language) (required)
- Basic understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5 and CSS3 (required)
- Experience with development tools including IDEs, debuggers, bug tracking (required)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, CVS or SVN (required)
- Familiarity with using debugging tools such as the Chrome Developer Tools (required)
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with TypeScript (preferred)
- Distributed application (client/server) development experience (preferred)
- Game development experience (preferred)
- Experience in UI development and animations (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Linux command line tools and using the shell (preferred)
