Associate Specialist, People Operations
Light & Wonder is seeking an Associate Specialist to join its HR Shared Service Team, known as the People Solution Center. This role acts as a primary partner for employees across the Americas, managing HR processes, policies, and employee data while ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish. The position is dynamic and requires a candidate who is comfortable solving problems and providing empathetic support in a fast-paced environment.
The People Solution Center supports approximately 3,000 employees across six countries. The Associate Specialist will report to the Manager of the PSC for the Americas and will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting the hiring and onboarding process, and ensuring compliance with regional policies and documentation.
- Be the first point of contact for HR questions, from policies to processes.
- Provide accurate, helpful support with empathy and a people-first mindset.
- Investigate and resolve employee concerns, escalating when needed and always following up.
- Keep employee records clean and up to date in Workday; pull reports when needed.
- Spot opportunities to improve how we work - and share your ideas.
- Deliver high-quality HR transactions and support in line with service levels.
- Support hiring and onboarding after the offer stage - contracts, background checks, and getting new hires ready for Day One.
- Conduct compliance checks (think: right-to-work, policy audits, and documentation).
- Jump in on projects that make our People Solution Center even better.
- Coordinate benefits and terminations for the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
- A bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field is great, but equivalent experience works too! (preferred)
- 1–2 years in HR or a people-focused role (customer service counts, if you’ve solved problems and supported people, we want to hear from you) (required).
- Comfortable with HRIS systems (required).
- Bonus points if you’ve clicked around Workday before (nice-to-have).
- Able to manage multiple tasks and shift gears quickly in a fast-paced environment (required).
- Strong communicator, organized multitasker, and natural problem-solver who can roll with change in a fast-paced environment (required).
