This role provides operational support for the network infrastructure, including troubleshooting complex issues and collaborating with other teams within IT and external stakeholders across a multinational enterprise.

The position involves designing and implementing network solutions across campus and datacentre networks. It also provides expert technical support and guidance on complex design issues.

This role serves as an escalation point for the service desk globally, providing technical expertise and guidance. It also participates in IT work related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including network integration and separation.

Responsibilities include conducting network discovery and documentation to ensure that the network is accurately represented and maintained. Proactive utilisation and development of network monitoring tools to notify the team of any issues is also key.

Monitoring network performance and capacity and making recommendations for improvements and upgrades is required. Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that the network infrastructure is up to date and effective is also part of the role.

Data centre operations experience is essential, including build and maintain rack, cable, power, High Availability options, capacity planning and forecasting, disaster recovery/business continuity, load balancing and architectures.

Requirements
  • BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field (or commensurate experience) (required)
  • CCNP Enterprise, Data Center or Security is desirable (preferred)
  • 3+ years' experience working as a network engineer in an enterprise environment (required)
  • Experience working on merger, acquisition or divestiture related network integrations at an Enterprise level would be highly advantageous (preferred)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (required)
