Senior Advanced Software Engineer
Light & Wonder is looking for a Senior Advanced Software Engineer to plan, design, develop, and test software systems and applications for both enhancements and new products. The role involves direct programming of system products and the execution of continuous integration, testing, and validation processes.
The Senior Advanced Software Engineer will take a leadership role in initiating projects and collaborating with other managers. This position requires acting as a liaison with customers to review technical designs and fixes, and serving as a technical lead for proof of concept or pilot projects to research how specific technologies can be incorporated.
Engineers will use company standards and apply design principles and patterns to develop robust software. They will work closely with other engineers to provide guidance and assistance in the areas of software architecture, coding standards, and system related issues. The role also involves running technical architecture and design reviews and technical signoff at both elaboration and construction phases of projects, and writing architecture and technical design documents. The Senior Advanced Software Engineer will improve products and support company objectives by managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications systems.
- Utilize technical knowledge to write and complete software tasks and projects.
- Research new technologies and incorporate them into new systems and products.
- Initiate projects and assume a leadership role to collaborate with other managers.
- Test, integrate, write, troubleshoot, and debug software applications.
- Responsible for the architecture and implementation of critical software components.
- Use company standards and apply design principles and patterns to develop robust software.
- Work closely with other engineers to provide guidance and assistance in the areas of software architecture, coding standards, and system related issues.
- Act as a liaison with customers to review technical designs and fixes.

- Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field (required).
- 5 years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate Technical Manager, Manager Software Engineering, Senior Lead Engineer, Senior Software Analyst, Lead Analyst or any combination thereof (required).
- 5 years of experience in software development using Dot net technologies, JavaScript, HTML5 and database management and optimisation using SQL Server (required).
- 5 years of experience with gaming communication protocols including G2S (Game-to-System) and S2S (System-to-System) (required).
- 5 years of experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and incident resolution (required).
- 4 years of experience providing remote technical support for system installation & configuration and deploying software patches in customer environments (required).
- 4 years of experience using Wireshark for network analysis and protocol debugging (required).
- 4 years of experience performing defect tracking and using CRM tools for issue management and customer support (required).
