AWP Accounting
Lottomatica Group is seeking a Middle SQL Server Developer to join the Operations and Technology Department within the Gaming Machine Development – AWP Accounting area. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Gaming Machines Development team to support the analysis of change requests and the development of advanced SQL queries and stored procedures.
In addition to core database responsibilities, the role involves occasional contributions to web and back-end applications. The position is based in Rome and requires a professional capable of managing complex data tasks while ensuring seamless integration across various systems.
- Analysis and collection of requirements from development teams and business units.
- Development of complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and advanced functions.
- Database performance optimisation, indexing, and query tuning.
- Reverse engineering of existing code to understand its logic, document it, and support its evolutionary maintenance.
- Interaction with systems and data sources, ensuring integration with web applications.
- Advanced technical support to users and troubleshooting activities.
- Contribution to back-end development and occasional support for front-end activities.
- Production and updating of technical and functional documentation, including best practices and user manuals.
- 1 year of experience in SQL development and relational database management (required).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL (required).
- Experience in query optimisation, indexing, and performance tuning (required).
- Ability to analyse and understand existing code and database logic, even in contexts with limited documentation (required).
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts of managing large data volumes and Data Warehousing (required).
