Data Scientist Senior Specialist
The Lottomatica Group is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Technology and Operations Department.
This role involves supporting the team in the design, development, and documentation of Artificial Intelligence solutions to enhance business processes.
The successful candidate will collaborate on the development, testing, and validation of Machine Learning models and statistical analyses, contributing to the interpretation of results.
They will also contribute to the collection, preparation, and valorisation of the company's data assets and collaborate with the team in the maintenance and evolution of Machine Learning models already in production.
Support will be provided for the development and monitoring of Machine Learning pipelines and solutions based on Generative AI and virtual agents.
Participation in requirements gathering and discussions with internal stakeholders is expected, working alongside more senior figures in the analysis and solution definition phases.
Active collaboration within the team is encouraged to foster an environment oriented towards knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or diploma with relevant experience) in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative disciplines. (required)
- Interest in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and data analysis, with knowledge of the main algorithms and their applications. (required)
- Basic knowledge of data preparation, cleaning, and analysis techniques. (required)
- Good knowledge of Python and familiarity with main data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn. (required)
- Knowledge of PySpark, TensorFlow, or PyTorch is a plus. (nice-to-have)
- Basic knowledge of main statistical concepts and ability to interpret analysis and model results. (required)
- Interest in deepening knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and modern Machine Learning techniques. (required)
- Good knowledge of the English language. (required)
