Server Administrator
Description
Mediacle Technologies LLP. is now recruiting for their Indian office based in Bangalore. This role is for an AWS & Cloud and Server Administrator. Some travel to UK offices and conferences may be required as part of the role.
Responsibilities
- Setup Windows Web Server (IIS, FTP, MSSQL Server), Linux (Apache, Mysql, PHP,Tomcat)
- Skill VMware, Development Environment Maintenance, Hardware, Various Operating system installation, Troubleshooting.
- Experience primarily in Linux/ Windows Server Administration
- Windows Server Administration capability and familiarity with Linux Servers – troubleshooting, resolving all Technical issues related to our software/ networks and the range of Products and Services.
- Set up Monitoring, Configuration management, Administration & Operation practices
- Knowledge or some experience on managing Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Good to have Knowledge on VM Migration & Disaster Recovery
- Patch management, troubleshooting, scripting
- Understanding of all Hosting virtualization platforms
- Understanding of AWS products, Features and tools
- Participation and cooperation with other Cloud Services staff
- Virtualization & Storage
- Troubleshoot issues regarding capacity, uptime, escalated issues and quality
- Understanding of switch fabric that supports Virtualization as it relates to its attached storage
- Compile RCA (root cause analysis) reports on server incidents
- Advanced server administration
- Ready to work in 24 x 7 support
- Experience and/or certifications with AWS or Azure
Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in DNS management, Server Management, Hosting Services
- Excellent Communication skills
- Required Hands-on Experience working with the following:
- Windows 2003-2012R2
- Exchange 2007-2013
- Mobile e-mail solutions
- Active Directory
- Data Protection technologies (Backup Exec, VEEAM)
- Scripting (PowerShell)
- Virtualization technologies (VMWare preferred)
- Networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- DNS management
- Website migrations
