  • Greater integration of value-adding AI-led/assisted content into editorial workflow.
  • Identify key sports news stories, evergreen opportunities, and priority pages requiring regular updates based on editorial value, audience demand, and SEO performance.
  • Ensure content planning balances breaking news, analysis, features, evergreen, and search-driven content.
  • Supervise the day-to-day workflow of local editorial contributors and freelance writers.
  • Distribute assignments, monitor deadlines, and ensure all content meets editorial and publishing standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Chilean editorial team, providing guidance, feedback, coaching, and performance follow-up.
  • Identify staffing or resource requirements.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of new editorial contributors where required.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between the Chilean editorial team and headquarters.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including traffic, engagement, search visibility, rankings, and publishing output.
  • Use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Looker Studio to evaluate editorial performance.
  • Collaborate with Media Data Analyst to produce regular reports highlighting successes, opportunities, and recommended improvements.
  • Ensure all published content meets editorial, SEO, Anti-Spam and compliance standards.
  • Review articles for accuracy, clarity, readability, consistency, and adherence to editorial guidelines.
  • Ensure writers apply SEO best practices, including headline writing, metadata, internal linking, keyword optimisation, and content structure.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Social Media to maximise distribution and visibility of priority content.
  • Maintain publishing standards, templates, formatting consistency, and internal workflows.
Requirements

  • Previous experience coordinating editorial teams or managing digital content operations (required).
  • Strong understanding of digital publishing workflows and editorial planning (required).
  • Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and best practices for editorial content (required).
  • Comfortable with data, and experience using analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or Looker Studio (required).
