Fraud Prevention Analyst
Novibet is looking for a Fraud Prevention Analyst to execute day-to-day fraud prevention activities and proactively identify potential risks before they impact operations. The role combines investigative work with data analysis to uncover loopholes, exploit patterns, and weaknesses across offers, promotions, and incentive systems.
The Fraud Prevention Analyst will be responsible for the development of automated fraud controls, contribute to continuous process improvement, and provide insights that strengthen proactive fraud prevention and reduce company losses.
- Investigate ad hoc alerts, anomalies, and suspicious activity flagged by the Detection team or internal systems.
- Identify and assess potential breaches or exploitable gaps in offers, promotions, and incentive structures.
- Analyze fraud-related data to detect organised fraud activity, shared device usage, or suspicious behavioural patterns.
- Support the design, testing, and refinement of automated fraud detection and prevention rules.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the Fraud Prevention Lead, providing detailed evidence and recommendations.
- Document investigation outcomes and share analytical insights to enhance team knowledge and future prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with Product, Risk, and Customer Operations teams to communicate prevention strategies and mitigate emerging threats.
- 1–3 years of experience in fraud prevention, risk management, compliance, or a related analytical role (required).
- Experience analysing fraud patterns or customer behaviour in LATAM i-gaming markets (preferred).
- Proven ability to investigate, analyse, and interpret large volumes of data accurately (required).
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills (required).
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment (required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarise findings clearly (required).
- Fluency in English is required (written & verbal) (required).
- Experience or familiarity with LATAM markets (especially Brazil & Mexico) (preferred).
- Solid understanding of fraud prevention tools, systems, and best practices (required).
- Proficiency in data handling and reporting (Excel, BI tools, SQL knowledge is a plus) (required).
- Strong analytical mindset and pattern recognition skills (required).
