Direct Sourcing Director
The Direct Sourcing Director leads strategic sourcing and supplier strategy for digital payments and merchant services. This role focuses on cost optimisation, supplier innovation, and ensuring favourable business terms that drive financial and operational value to the business.
This hybrid position can be based in the Jacksonville, FL or London, UK office and requires three days per week on-site.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for suppliers and partners in the digital payments platforms and merchants business ecosystem.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions.
- Negotiate contracts inclusive of favourable business terms such as working capital optimisation, cost optimisation, volume-based rebates, and risk-sharing mechanisms.
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with the business community.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
- Work in concert with the vendor management and stakeholder community to implement supplier performance management.
- Partner with stakeholders in finance, operations, technology, and legal to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, data security standards, and company policies while working collaboratively with supplier risk management.
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (required).
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, including working capital strategies (required).
- Expertise in the digital payments industry or financial technology sourcing (required).
- Master degree, such as an MBA or equivalent (preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM (nice-to-have).
- Working knowledge of the use of AI (required).
