Paysafe is seeking a finance architecture lead and payments subject matter expert for new products, platform changes, and finance transformation initiatives.
The successful candidate will document end-to-end money flows from customer initiation through processing, settlement, safeguarding or funding, reconciliation, and general ledger reporting. They will map product and system events to accounting events, including transaction initiation, authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, chargebacks, fees, foreign exchange, reserves, and other relevant lifecycle events.
This position involves designing automated journal entry logic, accounting rules, data requirements, and interfaces to the general ledger and supporting subledgers. It also includes designing scalable reconciliation frameworks across payment platforms, processors, bank accounts, settlement files, operational systems, subledgers, and the general ledger. The role requires defining reconciliation ownership, frequency, matching logic, tolerances, exception handling, aging, escalation, and management reporting requirements.
Furthermore, the candidate will identify accounting, reconciliation, operational, and control gaps, and assess related SOX and financial reporting implications. They will lead cross-functional design workshops and work simultaneously with Product, Engineering, Operations, Treasury, Accounting, Tax, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Controls teams.
The role involves translating complex payment flows and technical system behavior into clear finance requirements, process documentation, accounting conclusions, and implementation-ready designs. Support will be provided for ERP, subledger, data platform, and reconciliation tool integrations, including SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and comparable enterprise platforms.
Finance leadership will be provided for design decisions, testing, implementation readiness, issue resolution, and transition to sustainable business-as-usual ownership. The role will drive standardization, automation, and process efficiency while maintaining appropriate financial governance and control. Support will also be provided in the future implementation of a new ERP system and global operating model tailored to Latin America.
