Senior Technology Vendor Manager
PENN Entertainment is seeking a Senior Technology Vendor Manager to join its Technology Enablement team. This role is responsible for helping the technology organisation operate at scale by driving operational excellence across vendor management, governance, financial processes, and strategic initiatives.
The Senior Technology Vendor Manager will oversee the governance and lifecycle management of PENN's technology vendor portfolio. This portfolio encompasses a diverse range of strategic vendors supporting cloud infrastructure, AI-assisted software development tools, gaming systems, sports betting platforms, casino technologies, slot systems, food and beverage point-of-sale systems, hotel property management platforms, and other mission-critical technologies that power PENN's digital and retail operations. The role acts as a central coordinator between technology leaders, business stakeholders, legal, sourcing, finance, and vendor partners to ensure contracts, renewals, approvals, invoicing, and vendor performance activities are executed effectively.
- Manage the lifecycle of technology vendors from evaluation and onboarding through renewal or termination.
- Maintain a centralised inventory of technology vendors, ownership assignments, contracts, key milestones, and governance records.
- Coordinate contract reviews, renewals, approvals, and vendor governance activities across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Facilitate vendor reviews and business discussions, ensuring the appropriate stakeholders are engaged and commitments are tracked through completion.
- Support vendor evaluations, competitive assessments, sourcing initiatives, and market analysis efforts.
- Maintain visibility into vendor performance, spend, contract obligations, risks, and upcoming renewal activities.
- Develop reporting and governance processes that improve accountability, transparency, and decision-making.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendor partners.
- Other duties as required.
- 8+ years of experience in vendor management, vendor governance, procurement operations, contract management, PMO, business operations, or a related field (required).
- Demonstrated experience managing vendor portfolios and coordinating stakeholders across multiple business functions (required).
- Strong understanding of vendor lifecycle management, contract administration, procurement processes, and governance practices (required).
- Proven ability to work effectively with legal, sourcing, finance, business, and technology teams (required).
- Experience managing complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines (required).
- Exceptional organisational and follow-through skills with a reputation for driving accountability and execution (required).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities (required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting information to senior leaders and executives (required).
- Experience building operational processes, reporting, and governance frameworks (required).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (required).
- Experience managing enterprise software, infrastructure, cloud, SaaS, gaming, hospitality, retail, or other technology vendors (nice-to-have).
- Experience supporting organisations operating highly regulated industries such as gaming, sports betting, financial services, healthcare, or telecommunications (nice-to-have).
- Experience conducting RFPs, vendor evaluations, and competitive market assessments (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with procurement, contract management, financial, or workflow management platforms such as Coupa, Ariba, SAP, ServiceNow, Jira, or Confluence (nice-to-have).
- PMP, CPSM, ITIL, or related professional certifications (nice-to-have).
