Description
Pin-Up Global is looking for an SDET to join their team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests for iOS and Android native applications to ensure high-quality software delivery.
The successful candidate will work within a multicultural team of professionals to build robust mobile automation processes, including test strategy, framework structure, and CI/CD integration. The role involves collaborating with architects, developers, and product managers to improve testability and release quality across high-load domains.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain automated tests for iOS and Android Native Apps.
- Build mobile automation process, including test strategy, framework structure, execution approach, reporting and CI/CD integration.
- Set up and maintain automated test execution on cloud devices, emulators, simulators and/or real devices.
- Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including smoke, regression, release and quality-gate executions.
- Design automation coverage for critical Sport domain flows.
- Create and maintain API and integration tests for backend services used by Native Apps.
- Work with REST, gRPC, WebSocket and event-driven integrations to validate client-server behavior.
- Improve automation framework stability, maintainability, execution speed and reporting quality.
- Investigate flaky tests, infrastructure issues, environment problems and failures across mobile app, backend, CI/CD and test data layers.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA engineers, product managers and DevOps to improve testability, automation strategy and release quality.
- Support QAE engineers with automation-friendly test design, onboarding, MR flow and manual-to-automation transition.
- Proactively identify gaps in automation, infrastructure and testing processes, and drive improvements instead of only executing assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a SDET. (required)
- Hands-on experience with automation for iOS and Android Native Apps. (required)
- Strong experience with Appium or similar mobile automation tools. (required)
- Experience with cloud device platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm or similar. (required)
- Experience with emulators, simulators and real device execution. (required)
- Experience building or significantly improving mobile automation processes. (required)
- Strong programming skills, preferably Python. (required)
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD systems. (required)
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, test execution strategies and release validation. (required)
- Experience with API testing. (required)
- Great understanding of REST, gRPC, WebSocket, microservices and client-server architecture. (required)
- Ability to debug issues using logs, reports, network requests, backend responses, test artifacts, screenshots and videos. (required)
- Understanding of mobile-specific risks, including permissions, app lifecycle, background/foreground behavior, network changes, push notifications, deep links, session handling and device fragmentation. (required)
- Experience with test data management and environment-specific configuration. (required)
- Ability to communicate with architects and developers on technical design, testability and automation architecture topics. (required)
- Experience mentoring QA engineers or supporting automation adoption inside a team. (required)
- Experience in Sportsbook, iGaming, betting, fintech or other real-time high-load domains. (required)
- Understanding of betting flows, odds updates, live events, bet settlement, cashout, bonuses, freebets and balance logic. (required)
- Experience building or maintaining an internal device farm. (required)
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes or other infrastructure tools. (required)
- Experience with Playwright for web automation. (required)
- Experience with performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, Locust or similar. (required)
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Report Portal or similar reporting and observability tools. (required)
- Experience with analytics-based device matrix planning using real user data, OS versions, screen sizes and device popularity. (required)
- Experience with AI-assisted testing, test generation or AI-based code review. (required)
