Software Engineer (GO)
Pin-Up Global is seeking a Software Engineer (GO) to join its technical team. This role involves designing and evolving high-performance services and managing the overall system landscape within a fast-growing business environment. The engineer will be responsible for making architectural decisions, addressing technical debt, and ensuring high standards of code quality through mentorship and code reviews.
The position requires a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, balancing the development of perfect solutions with business priorities. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into efficient technical solutions, engaging in projects that range from developing new features to migrating legacy systems.
- Designing and evolving high-performance services and overall system landscape.
- Making architectural decisions and taking ownership of the technical debt.
- Guiding team members and maintaining high standards of code quality.
- Analysing technical problems and devising efficient solutions.
- Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in high-load components.
- Engaging in various projects that may include developing new features, improving existing applications, or migrating legacy systems to new platforms.
- Working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- 4+ years of commercial experience with Go and a deep understanding of its internals (concurrency, GC, profiling) (required)
- Strong experience in System Design and building scalable microservice architectures (required)
- Expertise in PostgreSQL: performance tuning, indexing strategies, and complex query optimization (required)
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes: understanding of resource management and service orchestration (required)
- Experience with distributed systems: understanding of consistency, availability, and common patterns (Saga, CQRS, Circuit Breaker, Transactional Outbox) (required)
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges (required)
- Strong communication skills, responsibility and proactivity (required)
- Excellent time management and self-organisation skills (required)
- Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitLab CI (required)
- Understanding Twelve-Factor App methodology (required)
- Experience with NATS / Kafka or other messaging systems (required)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, GitOps) (required)
- Experience with Observability stack (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana) (required)
- Practical experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) (required)
- Understanding different system design approaches (EDD, DDD, ...) (required)
- Intermediate English (required)
