Team Lead Python
Pin-Up Global is looking for a Team Lead Python to join their technical team. This role involves leading a team of backend engineers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects from planning through to production support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving code quality, making architectural decisions, and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability within the team. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including Product, QA, and DevOps teams, to ensure predictable and high-quality technical delivery.
- Lead a team of backend engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring and regular feedback.
- Own the team's technical delivery from planning and estimation to releases and production support.
- Drive code quality, architecture decisions and continuous improvement of existing services.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps and other stakeholders to ensure predictable delivery.
- Hire, onboard and develop engineers while fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
- 5+ years of commercial Python development experience. (required)
- 1+ years as a Team Lead. (required)
- Strong knowledge of Go, microservices and distributed systems. (required)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud environments. (required)
- Understanding REST, experience with different protocols (especially http and gRPC). (required)
- Experience with databases (MongoDB/PostgreSQL/MySQL/Redis) and messaging systems (NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar). (required)
- Strong engineering practices (code reviews, testing, clean code) and people management skills. (required)
- Experience with Grafana/LGTM, Datadog or similar observability tools. (required)
- Experience with DORA metrics or engineering performance metrics. (required)
- On-call experience. (required)
