Business Development Manager
Playtech is looking for a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to drive the sourcing, negotiation, and licensing of third-party intellectual property that powers Playtech’s future. This role puts the individual at the centre of impact and innovation, for those who love discovering valuable external IP, building partnerships, and influencing the technological and content direction of a global leader.
The successful candidate will identify and evaluate third-party IP suitable for licensing and integration into Playtech’s products and services. They will develop and execute strategies to effectively acquire and license external IP assets, and build and maintain long-term relationships with IP owners, technology providers, studios, and industry partners.
Responsibilities include negotiating licensing agreements, commercial terms, and contract structures to secure favourable rights for Playtech. The role also involves conducting due diligence on potential IP assets, assessing value, scope, risks, and licensing feasibility. Collaboration with legal, finance, management, and product teams is essential to ensure seamless integration and compliance. The Business Development Manager will manage ongoing licensing relationships, ensuring all contractual obligations are met, and stay informed on industry trends, evolving IP laws, competitive landscapes, and best practices to maximise future opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate third-party IP suitable for licensing and integration into Playtech’s products and services.
- Develop and execute strategies to effectively acquire and license external IP assets.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required).
- Proven experience in licensing third-party IP, technology transfer, or business development, ideally within the gaming or technology sector (required).
- Strong understanding of IP rights, licensing frameworks, and negotiation principles (required).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders (required).
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-management, and stakeholder-influencing skills (required).
- Ability to think strategically and commercially, quickly identifying promising external IP opportunities (required).
- Self-driven, organised, and able to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple teams (required).
- Experience working directly with gaming studios, media/IP partners, content providers, or technology licensors (nice-to-have).
- Track record of scaling licensing portfolios or opening new partnership channels (nice-to-have).
- Existing networks within gaming, entertainment, media, or technology ecosystems (nice-to-have).
- Knowledge of global IP law landscapes, licensing structures, and compliance processes (nice-to-have).
