Responsibilities
  • Manage and support the development and implementation of compliance strategy and jurisdictional compliance activity.
  • Develop, monitor and maintain compliance control frameworks, policies and procedures, ensuring they are embedded into business processes and decision-making.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and translate changes into clear, timely actions for the business.
  • Oversee licensing activity and help ensure ongoing compliance with applicable licence conditions and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external compliance audits, following through on findings and remediation actions.
  • Prepare clear compliance reports for senior management or the Board when required.
  • Act as a key contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring filings, reports and communications are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Partner daily with cross-functional teams and other units across PlayTech Group, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues where needed.
  • Represent the business in relevant industry forums and regulatory meetings, building strong relationships with regulators and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • At least three years of compliance experience within the gambling industry (required).
  • Strong B2B gambling compliance experience (required).
  • Understanding of multi-jurisdictional gambling regulation, licensing and compliance frameworks, ideally with exposure to Spain and/or Latin American markets (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, business or another relevant field (required).
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing (required).
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, make sound decisions independently and take full ownership of deadlines and linked cross-team assignments (required).
  • Strong analytical judgement and attention to detail with the confidence to influence and engage stakeholders at different levels (required).
  • Genuine team player, sharing information and supporting others even when managing your own portfolio independently (required).
  • Based in Malta or able to work from Malta for this role (required).
  • Professional fluency in Spanish (preferred).
  • Direct B2B gambling compliance experience covering Spain and/or Latin America (preferred).
  • Master’s degree or a relevant professional compliance qualification, such as ICA or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional certification (nice-to-have).
