Developer
Playtech's Quickspin company is looking for a skilled Developer who can work independently, take ownership of solutions, and collaborate effectively across teams. This position is offered on a 1-year contract basis.
The influential mission of this role involves taking games from concept to launch, helping shape and develop engaging gaming experiences optimised for both desktop and mobile devices. The developer will write clean, structured, and maintainable code with a strong focus on quality and performance. They will bring game visuals to life by collaborating closely with graphics and VFX artists to implement animations, effects, and interactive features. The role requires working in a cross-functional agile team alongside game designers, artists, sound designers, QA engineers, producers, and fellow developers to create exceptional player experiences.
- Take games from concept to launch, helping shape and develop engaging gaming experiences optimised for both desktop and mobile devices.
- Write clean, structured, and maintainable code with a strong focus on quality and performance.
- Bring game visuals to life by collaborating closely with graphics and VFX artists to implement animations, effects, and interactive features.
- Work in a cross-functional agile team alongside game designers, artists, sound designers, QA engineers, producers, and fellow developers to create exceptional player experiences.
- 3-5 years of professional software development experience (required)
- Build graphically intensive web applications, games, or other performance-sensitive products (required)
- Work confidently with JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages (required)
- Demonstrate an interest in computer graphics, animations, visual effects, and interactive experiences (required)
- Take ownership of your work and drive tasks forward independently (required)
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, sharing ideas and contributing to common goals (required)
- Communicate clearly and confidently in English, both verbally and in writing (required)
- Experience with hardware-accelerated 3D techniques (nice-to-have)
- Experience working with TDD and automated testing techniques (nice-to-have)
- Any other creative skill, from sound design to 3D modelling (nice-to-have)
