Fullstack Developer
Playtech's IMS Engagement Unit is looking for a self-motivated Fullstack Developer with strong attention to detail and excellent collaboration skills. This is a temporary position to cover military service.
The role involves working with a complex codebase that includes multiple Java versions and various architectural patterns. The developer will maintain and update legacy systems while preserving functionality, develop new features based on business requirements, and write comprehensive tests for new and old functionality. Responsibilities also include debugging and fixing reported issues across the system, performing root cause analysis for critical bugs, monitoring and optimising system performance, and conducting code reviews to maintain code quality standards.
- Work with a complex codebase that includes multiple Java versions and various architectural patterns.
- Maintain and update legacy systems while preserving functionality.
- Develop new features based on business requirements.
- Write comprehensive tests for new and old functionality.
- Debug and fix reported issues across the system.
- Perform root cause analysis for critical bugs.
- Monitor and optimise system performance.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
- Approximately 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer or several years of experience in Java development (required).
- Strong background in Java development and front-end development using React with TypeScript (required).
- Strong expertise in application performance optimisation and database query optimisation (required).
- Proficiency in modern software design patterns and best practices to create scalable, maintainable, and high-performing applications (required).
- Experience with performance monitoring tools and profiling techniques (required).
- Experience in maintaining and modernising legacy systems (required).
- Knowledge of Hibernate, JDBC, MariaDB, Kafka, Docker, Maven (required).
- Understanding of GIT flow (pull requests, branches, etc.) (required).
- Skills with front-end tools and technologies: TypeScript, React, Redux, ES2020, HTML5, SCSS (required).
- Experience with MaterialUI, Webpack, Jest (required).
