Java Architect
Playtech is looking for a talented and experienced Java Architect with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, keen to work with bleeding-edge technology.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software architecture and design for the online gaming platform. They will design and develop scalable and maintainable microservices-based applications using Java and Spring, utilising expertise in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles to design and implement efficient and robust solutions. The role involves leveraging Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration of microservices, and designing and implementing network infrastructure to support the online gaming platform.
Strong problem-solving capabilities will be demonstrated to address technical challenges and ensure the platform's performance and stability. Experience with both Relational and NoSQL databases will be utilised to design efficient data models and implement data access layers. The role also involves working with message brokers like Kafka to facilitate real-time data processing and event-driven architecture. Effectively communicating technical concepts and solutions to technical professionals as well as non-technical stakeholders is a key aspect of the position.

- Proficiency in Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration of services (required).
- Solid understanding of network design and implementation for scalable and reliable applications (required).
- Problem-solving capability, with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and propose effective solutions (required).
- Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka or similar technologies (nice-to-have).
