Java Developer
Playtech’s Rarestone Team is looking for a proactive and motivated Java Developer to join the team. The role involves developing and testing the server-side components of casino games using Java and Playtech’s internal systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with team members, game designers, and client developers to deliver reliable game functionality. The position requires organising work effectively in a flexible working environment, while being available online during the working day and joining mandatory meetings when required.
- Develop and test the server-side components of casino games using Java and Playtech’s internal systems.
- Work closely with team members, game designers, and client developers to deliver reliable game functionality.
- Collaborate with the team on a daily basis, contributing to technical discussions and development activities.
- Organise your work effectively in a flexible working environment, while being available online during the working day and joining mandatory meetings when required.
- At least 1–2 years of commercial experience in software development (required).
- Solid hands-on knowledge of Java (required).
- Familiarity with JSON, XML, HTTP, Git, and Vavr (required).
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and an understanding of probability theory (required).
- Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles (required).
- Understanding of the functional programming approach (required).
- Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher (required).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail (required).
- Ability to manage your time effectively, set goals, and stay focused when working under pressure (required).
- Self-motivated and confident in making decisions and taking ownership of your work (required).
