Junior Network Operations Engineer
Playtech's Infrastructure unit is looking for a proactive Junior Network Operations Engineer with great problem solving skills. The role involves joining a global Network Operations team responsible for keeping the network infrastructure stable, secure, and reliable. The engineer will work with experienced engineers, modern technologies, and large-scale environments while developing their networking skills. This is a maternity cover position.
- Perform network configuration changes.
- Work with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud networking technologies.
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, firewall, DNS, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and deployments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams across the company.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs) (required).
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn (required).
- The ability to work in a technical team environment (required).
- Good English communication skills (required).
- Knowledge of Linux (nice-to-have).
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Check Point, Palo Alto, or similar technologies (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with BGP, OSPF, VPNs, or firewalls (nice-to-have).
- Basic scripting or automation skills (Python, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash) (nice-to-have).
- CCNA, JNCIA, or similar certification (nice-to-have).
