People and Culture Generalist
Playtech's People & Culture team is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive People & Culture Generalist with excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
This role involves managing the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding, including employment contracts, employee records, immigration-related processes, onboarding activities, and probation administration across the UK and Gibraltar.
The Generalist will partner with managers and employees on employee relations matters, including disciplinary cases, grievances, absence management, performance concerns, workplace conflict resolution, and the timely escalation of complex or high-risk cases.
Support will be provided for performance and talent management by guiding managers on objectives, development plans, probation reviews, and employee development, while preparing documentation and supporting materials for investigations, disciplinaries, restructures, and other people-related activities.
Additionally, the role supports P&C operations and compliance by contributing to audits, maintaining employee data, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, UK GDPR, and company policies, and promoting the consistent application of People & Culture practices across the business.
The Generalist will also drive employee engagement and culture by supporting wellbeing, DEIB initiatives, awareness campaigns, employee engagement activities, and cultural events across the UK and Gibraltar.
Finally, the role partners with the Senior People & Culture Director to deliver strategic people initiatives and projects, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and support the successful delivery of People & Culture objectives.

- Have experience in a People & Culture or HR Generalist role (required).
- Have proven experience managing employee relations matters from initial advice through to resolution (required).
- Possess sound knowledge of UK employment law and People & Culture best practices (required).
- Have experience supporting performance management, employee development, and end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (required).
- Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, and communication skills (required).
- Are highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously (required).
- Handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail (required).
- Have experience working with HRIS systems, people technologies, and Microsoft Office tools (required).
- Holding a CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience (nice-to-have).
- Supporting multiple jurisdictions, particularly the UK and Gibraltar (nice-to-have).
- Being familiar with UK GDPR and employee data governance requirements (nice-to-have).
- Bringing experience from a technology, international, or fast-paced commercial environment (nice-to-have).
