Playtech Managed Services is looking for a responsible Risk Desk Manager with strong decision-making and strategic thinking skills. The position is on-site for the company's office in São Paulo, Brazil.

The role involves leading the day-to-day delivery of Risk Operations in Brazil, ensuring high service standards, operational efficiency, and strong execution. The Risk Desk Manager will serve as the main Risk Operations representative for Brazil, building trusted relationships with stakeholders, partners, and client teams. This includes working closely with partners, Team Leaders, SMEs, and Analysts to drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. The position also supports operational readiness, strategic initiatives, and workforce planning to ensure the operation remains prepared for changing business demands. Opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiencies, and introduce automation will be identified while maintaining a strong focus on risk management and regulatory compliance. Collaboration with Compliance, Product, Data, and Customer Operations teams is key to delivering practical and effective risk solutions. The role uses data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities, resolve issues proactively, and continuously improve quality and operational outcomes. Oversight of the implementation and ongoing enhancement of risk controls, procedures, and operational frameworks is required. The Risk Desk Manager acts as a key point of escalation for complex investigations, high-risk cases, and operational challenges, ensuring clear decision-making and stakeholder alignment. Support for the rollout of new tools, technologies, and automation initiatives is also part of the role, helping the operation adapt and evolve as the business grows. Ensuring operational documentation, knowledge resources, and training materials remain accurate, accessible, and fit for purpose is essential. Contribution to hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and talent development initiatives supports the long-term success of the operation. The role champions change and continuous improvement, helping teams successfully adapt to new processes, requirements, and ways of working. Fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and customer-focused risk management across the organisation is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Fluent in English (required).
  • Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker (required).
  • 4 years of previous experience in a similar role (required).
  • Excellent knowledge of the risk and payments field (required).
  • Strong decision-making and communication skills (required).
  • Team player with leadership skills (required).
  • Previous experience in a similar position (nice-to-have).
