Senior DevOps Engineer
Playtech's DevOps Team is looking for a proactive Senior DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation and strong communication skills.
You will enable fast, reliable delivery by supporting agile development workflows.
You will research and evaluate emerging tools and technologies to improve our stack.
You will install, configure, and maintain the development, testing, staging, and production environments.
You will maintain configuration management, build, integration, and deployment tools.
You will develop the required scripts to support the automation of processes and pipelines.
You will proactively identify and resolve security, performance, and availability issues.
You will instrument systems with monitoring and alerting to ensure observability.
You will maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for processes and runbooks.

- Maintain configuration management, build, integration, and deployment tools.
- Develop the required scripts to support the automation of processes and pipelines.

- Instrument systems with monitoring and alerting to ensure observability.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for processes and runbooks.
- 5+ years of related professional experience in a DevOps role (required).
- Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of code and script writing (required).
- Solid experience with Linux/Unix Administration and Kubernetes (required).
- Solid knowledge in managing microservice architectures - deploying, monitoring, and automating build processes (required).
- Experience with automation/configuration management tools ( Puppet, Ansible, Chef) (required).
- Thorough understanding of CI/CD tools and processes, Docker containers, and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, Alert Manager, and Prometheus (required).
- Experience with in-memory, relational, and NoSQL databases, such as Redis, PostgreSQL, and Clickhouse (required).
- Hands-on experience with message brokers like Apache Kafka (required).
- Passionate about solving problems with elegant but simple solutions (required).
- Good problem solver with attention to detail and critical thinking skills (required).
- Experience with SVN/GIT/Bitbucket (required).
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken (required).
