Playtech Managed Services is looking for a Payroll Expert with excellent analytical skills to join its People and Culture team.

The role involves processing monthly payroll information to an external vendor accurately and in compliance with company policies, labour legislation, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include ensuring payroll calculations are processed correctly by the external vendor, serving as the main point of contact for all matters related to work schedules and attendance reports, and preparing monthly payroll estimates, forecasts, and related reports.

The Payroll Expert will also manage and track all types of employee leave, maintain accurate employee records, and organise payroll documentation. The role supports payroll-related reporting, assists during internal and external audits, and compiles management reports related to payroll and workforce data.

Collaboration with the People & Culture and Finance teams is essential to ensure payroll accuracy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. The role also involves responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll, compensation, benefits, taxes, and leave-related matters in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities
  • Process monthly payroll information to an external vendor accurately and in compliance with company policies, labour legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure payroll calculations (e.g., salaries, bonuses, overtime payments, allowances, taxes, social security contributions, and other deductions) are processed correctly by the external vendor.
  • Serve as the main point of contact (MPC) across the organisation for all matters related to work schedules and attendance reports, including hours worked, shifts, absences, and overtime.
  • Prepare monthly payroll estimates, forecasts, and related reports.
  • Manage and track all types of employee leave, including annual leave, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, and other statutory absences.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date employee records and data.
  • Organise payroll documentation and ensure it is maintained and archived in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.
  • Support payroll-related reporting and assist during internal and external audits.
  • Compile management reports related to payroll and workforce data.
  • Partner closely with People & Culture and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, compensation, benefits, taxes, and leave-related matters in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, Business Administration or a related field (required).
  • 3+ years of Payroll experience (required).
  • Fluent in English (required).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP) (required).
  • Experience with local payroll software (required).
  • Strong knowledge of employment, social security, and tax legislation (required).
  • Attention to detail, reliability, accuracy, and excellent communication skills (required).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to changing priorities (required).
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and work proactively (required).
  • Experience managing complex shift rotations and summed-up working time (nice-to-have).
  • Familiarity with payroll for rotating schedules and shift-based compensation (nice-to-have).
  • Experience from mid-size or large organisations with decentralised teams (nice-to-have).
