Software Engineer (Risk and Payments Team)
Playtech's IMS unit is looking for a motivated Software Engineer with excellent technical and communication skills. The role involves developing software solutions and introducing new technologies within IMS. The successful candidate will design, build, test, and debug reliable, high-quality software, working with external parties and integrating separate systems via APIs. A strong automated testing culture and code quality are essential. The role also includes creating and maintaining development documentation and improving team processes. Collaboration with the team, participation in retrospectives, and taking ownership of work are key aspects of this position.
- Develop software solutions and introduce new technologies within IMS.
- Design, build, test, and debug reliable, high-quality software.
- Work with external parties and integrate many separate systems via APIs.
- Contribute to a strong automated testing culture and ensure code quality.
- Create and maintain development documentation while helping improve team processes.
- Collaborate actively with your team, participate in retrospectives, and take ownership of your work.
- 1+ years of experience with Java in a professional environment (required)
- Solid understanding of core Java concepts and good theoretical fundamentals (required)
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle) (required)
- Comfortable writing clean, maintainable, and testable code (required)
- Team player who can collaborate effectively, while also taking ownership of assigned areas (required)
- Curious, proactive, and open to learning new technologies and approaches (required)
- Full stack experience (nice-to-have)
- PHP experience (nice-to-have)
