Engineering Manager

Description

ARRISE is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development and delivery of its Promotions platform. This role will be responsible for managing a team of engineers while driving the technical strategy and execution of promotions-related initiatives across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, working closely with product, marketing, data, and business teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that support promotional campaigns and customer engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of promotions-related projects, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Analytics, Operations) to define requirements, priorities, and roadmaps.
  • Drive the design and implementation of scalable, reliable systems to support complex promotions and campaigns.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for engineering within the Promotions domain across the organisation.
  • Balance technical direction with business needs, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer impact.
  • Establish and improve engineering processes, including planning, and delivery tracking.
  • Identify risks, manage dependencies, and proactively resolve blockers across teams.
  • Ensure system performance, reliability, and observability for promotions services.
  • Support career development, performance management, and hiring for the engineering team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a technical leadership role. (required)
  • Strong background in software development and system design. (required)
  • Experience delivering complex, cross-functional projects at scale. (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders across multiple teams and seniority levels. (required)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. (required)
  • Experience building or supporting promotions, pricing, or campaign management systems. (nice-to-have)
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). (nice-to-have)
  • Experience with data-driven systems, experimentation platforms, or A/B testing frameworks. (nice-to-have)
  • Exposure to high-traffic, customer-facing platforms. (nice-to-have)
  • Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, and system reliability practices. (nice-to-have)
