Senior Software Engineer
Push Gaming is looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design and implementation of complex platform solutions. The role focuses on optimising performance, ensuring scalability, and driving best practice for infrastructure and deployment across the B2B iGaming platform, game servers, and APIs.
The successful candidate will work in a hybrid capacity based in London or Warsaw. They will be responsible for technical leadership, mentoring team members, and ensuring that all developed systems comply with the technical standards and regulations of various iGaming jurisdictions.
- Design, develop and deploy high-quality, robust, scalable software for the B2B iGaming platform, game servers and APIs.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers within the team.
- Proactively find and resolve bottlenecks so systems handle high transaction volumes and concurrent users at low latency.
- Ensure developed systems comply with the technical standards and regulations of iGaming jurisdictions.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex problems in production, with timely and effective fixes.
- Produce clean, well-documented code using modern languages and frameworks.
- Lead code reviews and contribute to the architectural design of new features and systems.
- Implement and adhere to best practice for software security and data protection.
- Partner with product managers, QA and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver against them, taking part in sprint planning and retrospectives.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong background in backend development (required)
- Deep knowledge of one or more modern programming languages such as C#, Java, Go, Python or Node.js (required)
- Extensive experience building and consuming APIs, microservices and distributed systems (required)
- Proficiency in database design and management across SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) (required)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a good understanding of DevOps principles including CI/CD and containerisation (required)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (required)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills (required)
- Direct experience in iGaming, online gaming, or a high-transactional SaaS industry (preferred)
- Understanding of the regulatory environment and technical compliance requirements within iGaming (preferred)
