Associate Policy & Governance Officer (Gaming Compliance)
SkillOnNet is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join its Compliance team as an Associate Policy & Governance Officer. The successful candidate will assist the Deputy Head of Compliance in reviewing, drafting, and implementing compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for individuals eager to expand their knowledge of international regulatory environments and contribute to the company’s commitment to integrity and operational excellence.
- Support the review and analysis of gaming laws, regulations, and guidance across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., MGA, UKGC, Ontario, Denmark, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, etc.).
- Assist in drafting, maintaining, and updating company-wide compliance policies and procedures, particularly in Marketing, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Safer Gambling (SG).
- Help maintain the company’s policy management system and ensure alignment with internal governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with AML, Safer Gambling, and Marketing Compliance teams to ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures.
- Monitor regulatory developments and prepare concise reports summarising key updates and potential impacts.
- Support the maintenance of accurate records, version control, and document tracking for all policies.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to ensure smooth operation of the Policy & Governance Department.
- Ideally 1–3 years of experience in compliance, policy, legal, or risk management (required).
- Experience within the gaming industry (preferred).
- Familiarity with B2B or B2C gaming operations (nice-to-have).
- Ideally a bachelor's degree in a business-related field such as law, finance, risk management, or a similar discipline (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, legal studies) (preferred).
- Foundational understanding of regulatory compliance, governance, or licensing obligations (required).
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Confluence-Jira (optional), task management tools (Click-Up or Similar) (required).
- Strong research and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail (required).
- Excellent communication skills - strong presenting and report writing skills (required).
- Ability to exercise initiative, discretion, and judgement (required).
- Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively (required).
