Junior Java Software Developer Portugal
SkillOnNet is seeking a talented Junior Java Software Developer to join its Backend Engineering team. In this role, the successful candidate will contribute to the development and enhancement of the backend platform, working closely with senior team members to build scalable, high-quality software solutions while growing their technical expertise.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-level applications platform.
- Participate in functional design specification reviews and work with technical team members to determine technical design approaches.
- Work together with other department developers regarding integration and shared development.
- Integrating with 3rd party applications and products.
- As a team member, you will be responsible on all aspects of handling the platform's backend.
- Maintaining the servers, deployment processes and debugging live in production when required.
- 0–2 years of experience in Java software development, gained through professional work, internships, academic projects, or personal projects (required).
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns (required).
- Familiarity with multithreaded programming and concurrent application development (required).
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including the ability to write and optimize queries (required).
- Experience with the Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot (required).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail (required).
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical expertise (required).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team (required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (required).
- Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks (required).
