Description

The Safer Gambling and AML Risk Analyst plays a pivotal role in safeguarding players and ensuring compliance with both responsible gambling and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor and assess player activity for signs of gambling-related harm or financial risks, utilising a risk-based approach to take appropriate and proportionate actions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct live chat interactions with players exhibiting behaviours or meeting criteria that indicate potential gambling-related harm.
  • Provide support, gather relevant information, and evaluate their circumstances to determine appropriate actions.
  • Manage phone calls with players when required, ensuring effective communication and addressing their concerns thoroughly and empathetically.
  • Analyse and assess player accounts that trigger pre-established responsible gambling or AML thresholds.
  • Evaluate behavioural patterns, financial activity, and affordability indicators to identify risks and implement necessary interventions.
  • Perform open media searches to gather additional information about players being assessed.
  • Ensure adherence to responsible gambling and AML policies by accurately documenting assessments and actions, maintaining thorough records, and escalating cases when necessary.
  • Work closely with internal teams to share insights, develop strategies, and improve processes that promote safer gambling and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay updated on the latest regulations, trends, and best practices in safer gambling and AML to effectively perform duties and contribute to team goals.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in English (required)
  • Additional language skills (nice-to-have)
  • Prior knowledge or experience in Responsible Gambling or AML/CFT (nice-to-have)
  • Ability to work on shift (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications – Specifically, Excel, Word, and Outlook (required)
