Description

SkillOnNet is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. The role involves managing financial reporting, the general ledger, and overseeing key accounting functions.

The Senior Accountant ensures compliance with accounting standards, prepares financial reports, and supports both external and internal audits. Additionally, the role assists in budgeting, forecasting, and improving accounting processes to contribute to the financial stability and strategic goals of SkillOnNet.

Responsibilities
  • Compiling, analysing, and reporting financial data.
  • Performing data reconciliation balances within SAP accounting system.
  • Reconciling entries into the accounting system.
  • Liaise with other departments and third parties and solving issues that may arise.
  • Preparing various daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
  • Presenting data to managers and other entities.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assisting on audits and resolving discrepancies.
  • Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
  • Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT reports.
  • Report to Supervisor and CFO.
  • Preparing outgoing remittances.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • ACA or ACCA qualification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role (required).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business One (nice-to-have).
  • More education or experience may be preferred (nice-to-have).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills (required).
  • Fluency in English language (required).
  • Ability to work to deadlines (required).
  • Advanced computer literacy especially in MS Excel (required).
  • Ethical behaviour and trustworthiness (required).
  • Attention to detail (required).
