Head of Efficiency & Optimization Office
SoftConstruct is seeking a Head of Efficiency & Optimization Office to lead organisational transformation and operational excellence. This role focuses on designing lean, agile, and scalable departmental frameworks while identifying systemic redundancies across the company's portfolio.
The successful candidate will bridge the gap between capacity and performance by conducting deep-dive workload analyses and streamlining decision-making processes. This position involves building and mentoring a team of specialists to drive productivity and deliver strategic efficiency roadmaps directly to the Board and Founders.
- Evaluate cross-company organisational structures and resource allocation models to design lean, agile, and scalable departmental frameworks.
- Identify functional overlap, systemic redundancies, and structural friction across portfolio companies, establishing right-sized team benchmarks aligned with strategic output.
- Direct deep-dive workload analyses, activity-based capacity modelling, and time-value assessments to evaluate baseline output against spent effort.
- Bridge the gap between capacity and performance by addressing instances of underutilised potential, organisational complexity, or artificially expanded team structures.
- Interrogate end-to-end operational workflows to eliminate low-value activities, streamline decision-making loops, and accelerate operational throughput.
- Identify process automation and digital software opportunities to streamline manual tasks and improve overall workload efficiency.
- Build, mentor, and deploy an elite team of Business Architects, Process Engineers, and Operational Analysts.
- Establish standardised operational maturity frameworks, productivity telemetry, and executive reporting systems across the Group.
- Provide rigorous, data-driven oversight on annual workforce expansion requests, challenging underlying assumptions and proposing alternative optimisation strategies.
- Deliver high-impact organisational restructuring plans and strategic efficiency roadmaps directly to the Board and Founders.
- 5+ years of experience in Operational Strategy, Business Transformation, or Process Optimization (required).
- Experience in consulting or multi-branch/group companies (preferred).
- Proven expertise in capacity planning, activity-based costing, workforce right-sizing, and end-to-end value-stream mapping (required).
- Deep appreciation for enterprise automation, digital workflow orchestration, and technology-driven productivity levers (required).
