Product Owner (Mandarin & English Speaker)
SoftConstruct is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the execution of its platform vision. This role bridges business goals and engineering execution by maintaining a prioritised backlog, defining clear user stories, and working closely with cross-functional teams.
The Product Owner will facilitate seamless communication across English- and Chinese-speaking stakeholders, while identifying opportunities to integrate modern AI tools and automation to drive growth and enhance customer experience.
- Own, prioritise, and refine the product backlog.
- Translate product strategy into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and clear technical specifications for development sprint cycles.
- Act as the primary liaison between English-speaking business stakeholders and Chinese-speaking technical/development teams (or external partners), ensuring clear alignment on priorities and requirements.
- Work closely with engineering, design, QA, and Scrum Masters daily to clarify requirements, clear blockers, validate features, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Identify customer pain points and growth opportunities through quantitative data and qualitative feedback; turn these into actionable backlog items and feature improvements.
- Evaluate and define requirements for incorporating AI capabilities and automated workflows into the product to enhance platform value and user engagement.
- Align sprint goals with the overall product roadmap, continuously tracking progress and communicating delivery milestones to key stakeholders.
- Monitor platform performance and delivery velocity, using product analytics to measure feature adoption and guide continuous backlogged improvements.
- Assist product marketing, sales, and support teams with feature documentation, release notes, and internal training for new rollouts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required).
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or technical Product Manager in an Agile environment (required).
- Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) with the ability to translate complex business and technical concepts seamlessly between languages (required).
- Proven track record of owning a product backlog, writing precise user stories, and managing sprint priorities in Jira/Confluence (required).
- Familiarity with modern AI tools, automation applications, and software analytics platforms (required).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across multicultural and cross-functional teams (required).
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to keep development moving forward independently (required).
- Background in SaaS, gaming, and/or the online betting industry (nice-to-have).
